To change the line spacing in your document using Microsoft Word 2010:
  1. Place your mouse cursor anywhere in your document and select all your text (CTRL+A) to adjust and change the line spacing of your whole document.
  2. Choose the Home tab from the main menu.
  3. Click the Line Spacing button in the Paragraph group. A menu of options appears.
  4. Select one of the predefined Line Spacing settings or select Line Spacing Options... from the bottom of the list to define your own custom line spacing settings.

When working with Word, you can use and change styles to quickly format your documents. A style is a set of predefined formats consisting of fonts, font colors, font sizes, and paragraph formats. Microsoft Word 2010 incorporates several predesigned style sets that contain styles for titles, subtitles, quotes, headings, lists and more.

To change and apply a style to your document using Microsoft Word 2010:
  1. Choose the Home tab from the main menu.
  2. Click Change Styles in the Styles group. A menu appears.
  3. Move the mouse cursor down to Style Set. A sub menu opens beside the Style Set menu option.
  4. Select any of the 9 predefined Style Sets from the list.
  5. Word reformats all of the paragraphs in your document into the selected style and applies the settings of the Syle Set to your text.
